FROM DAY ONE; Azar:

* Correlates shipping information prior to the arrival of goods and maintains up-to-date information

* Coordinates Customs exemptions and prepares all necessary documents to facilitate the imports to Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), UN-MOVCON Office and Customs Offices

*  Ensures that goods are efficiently and safely cleared from port or transit locations

* Surveys problematic shipments 

* Undertakes and controls port online payments

* Arranges the safe dispatch of supplies and equipment from ports to supply destination;

* Plans and supervises receipt of UNIFIL supplies at ports’ temporary storage warehouses

* Coordinates the survey of UNIFIL vehicles with Customs Authority 

* Arranges with local authorities, port and customs clearance of all UNIFIL supplies including personal effects of UN staff

* Arranges for quality control inspection of supplies upon receipt at port in coordination with UNIFIL Inspectors
